  • KMS 2018-2019 Yearbooks are for sale for $25. Please make checks out to Karcher Middle School, and include your students advisory teachers name on the envelope. There are a limited amount so get your's today!
  • December 11th @ 3:30 PM: 7th and 8th Grade Boys Basketball Games (Karcher Gym)
  • December 13th @ 7:00 PM: Choir concert (Karcher Gym)
    • Kids need to be at Karcher by 6:30pm, dressed in their black and white choir outfit.
    • Vocal Jazz students need to be at sound check at 6:00pm.

    • Medical Information:  
      • If your student needs medication while at Outdoor Education the below link is the form we need on file for any and all medications.  All non-prescription and prescription medication needs to be on file and the actual medication(s) need to be dropped off in our health office prior to or by January 2.  
      • All medications dropped off need to be in their original containers and properly labeled.

    • Pick up on Friday, January 4th 
      • Bus riders:  Students who will be riding the bus home will take their normal bus at the normal time on Friday. 
      • Pick-up students:  Students will return to Karcher around 2:15.  You are welcome to pick your student up right away at 2:15 on Wainwright Street, the gym side of the building.  Please park in the parking lot for pick up due to the need for our buses to utilize Wainwright Street.  If you would like to pick up but the 2:15 is not an ideal time you can also pick up on Wainwright Street (parking lot) between 2:35 - 2:40.  We simply encourage you to avoid picking up between 2:25-2:35 due to our dismissal and flow of our buses on Wainwright Street.  
  • Girls volleyball tryouts will start after winter break. Any students who want to tryout will need to have a physical complete and on file!

  • Please review the school district's procedure for head lice, and remember to perform frequent checks.
  • Students are strongly encouraged to take appropriate steps to decrease chances of bacterial and fungal transmission between students who may have skin to skin contact, including frequent handwashing with soap, water and/or alcohol base hand sanitizer, avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth, cover breaks in skin, avoid sharing items that have contact with hair, and have a doctor evaluate sores, rashes, and skin markings.

  • School fundraiser... Shoparoo!  
    • All you need to do to help raise money for Karcher is take a picture of your store receipt using the “Shoparoo” app and the program saves that picture. We receive points based on the total sale price on your receipt.
    • Click on the above link to set it up on your phone!
  • After school student spectator reminders:
    • If your student plans on staying after school to watch any extra-curricular events (example: basketball game) they need to remain in the building and follow school rules throughout the duration of the event.
    • We also ask that parents/guardians pick up their student at the completion of the event so that all supervisors are able to also go home after the event.

Extra Curricular Activities starting in October:

Note:  To participate in extra curricular activities all students must have a current physical on file at Karcher.  

  • If you are an 8th grader and participated in athletics during the 2017-2018 school year you will be required to turn in an alternate year card (blue).  
  • If you did not participate in athletics as a 7th grader you will need to submit the physical card (yellow) to participate.  
  • Incoming 7th graders most likely need to turn in a physical card (yellow).
  • All athletes will need to turn in either the blue or yellow card to participate prior to the first practice.

Wrestling Information 
  • KMS Wrestling is open to all 6th, 7th & 8th graders in the Burlington!  Coach Jason & Wallace are ready to lead the team to another conference championship.  
  • Practice starts Tuesday October 30th 2:40-4:40 in the balcony of the Karcher gym.
